Body Shaming - How to Get Out Of It With Few Examples

Hey Friends,

Greetings...

What is the definition of body shaming? Few examples

Body shaming refers to the act of making negative, critical or derogatory comments about someone's physical appearance, size, weight, shape or features. It can happen in person, online or through media and can seriously impact the individual's self-esteem, confidence and mental health. Here are some examples of body shaming:

Calling someone "fat," "ugly," "too skinny," "too tall" or "too short"

Criticizing someone's clothing choices or makeup

Making fun of someone's physical disabilities, scars or birthmarks

Posting memes or jokes that mock certain body types or sizes

Promoting unrealistic beauty standards through advertisements or media that imply that certain body types are more desirable or acceptable than others.

Staring, commenting or making someone uncomfortable because of their physical appearance.

  • Get around people who are empathetic towards your issues and motivate you.
  • Consider getting your fitness and physical health in place by indulging in healthy eating or workout!!

It is important to remember that everyone has a unique and diverse body, and that body shaming is hurtful and unacceptable behavior.

I am very happy with the way I look. I love my body and I like it. I eat the food that I like it. Moreover, I need not Impress anyone by doing their suggestions. If I wish, I will do it on my own. For others those who point us or mock at us "Grow Up First". Obesity is becoming a common issue in India in the 21st century. Especially in this world of Thyroid and PCOS/PCOD problems and other problems for Ladies.

No comments only!!

However, mocking people about having a specific body type is only making the matters worse further. It can cause a difference. Gradually, causes a rift between them, Slowly it paves way for a split among friends and relatives who constantly bug or blabber about all this 24 * 7. No wonder they might think about it in dreams even... who knows! 😋

Let's make the world more empathetic by learning how to deal with body shaming.

No More Tolerate it!!!

Understand that you are a whole, a combination of strengths, weaknesses, perfections and imperfections.

Perfectly Imperfect!!!

How to get out of this body shaming easily & quickly with few apt examples

You are Precious. You are a Guardian Angel. You protect a few important persons in life. You are responsible for them. Stay focussed!

Always you are the angel for god and your parents, even when you grow Old. He (God) likes you very much by the way you are...

Our real loved ones will stand beside us no matter how we look, how much we weigh, you are fair or dusky tone, etc, etc. We all have some nice characters within ourselves. Let's cherish that, Focus more on our Careers. Showcase on our Skills and Talent more rather than thinking about these mean things in life.

Getting out of body shaming can be a challenging process, but here are some ways that can help:

Focus on self-love and acceptance: Instead of focusing on what others think or say about your body, try to focus on your own thoughts and feelings. Remind yourself that your body is unique and deserves love and respect.

Example: Write down affirmations such as "I love my body as it is" or "My worth is not determined by my appearance" and repeat them daily.

Surround yourself with positive and supportive people: Spend time with people who uplift you and make you feel good about yourself. Avoid those who criticize your appearance or make negative comments.

Example: Join a supportive group or community, such as a body-positive group on social media or a fitness class that focuses on strength and self-care rather than weight loss.

Challenge negative self-talk: Identify and challenge negative thoughts that may contribute to body shaming. Replace them with positive and empowering thoughts.

Example: If you catch yourself thinking "I look fat in these clothes," challenge it with a positive thought such as "I am comfortable and confident in what I am wearing."

Take care of your body: Focus on healthy habits that make you feel good, such as eating nutritious food, exercising regularly, and getting enough rest.

Example: Instead of focusing on weight loss, focus on feeling energized and strong through exercise and nourishing your body with healthy foods.

Seek professional help: If body shaming is impacting your mental health or self-esteem, consider seeking professional help from a therapist or counselor.

Example: Talk to a therapist about your experiences with body shaming and work together on strategies to improve your self-esteem and confidence
